Forgetful Jones is a melodic, heavy rock and roll band with one goal in mind: To create quality music. Matt Athanasiou (drums), Jon Holland (guitar), Kenyatta Savage (vocals), and Niles Tooher (bass) formed Forgetful Jones in the summer of 2005. Although a newly formed project, the members of Forgetful Jones have a long history reaching back over a decade. Matt, Niles, and Jon all hail from the band Level Ride. Formed in 1995 Level Ride had a ten-year run which spawned a uniquely individual and eclectic sound. In March of 2005 personal differences resulted in the end of Level Ride and its original vocalist. However Matt, Jon, and Niles wanted to try something new and continue to create with each other. Kenyatta Savage had been the front man and lead vocalist of the group Fishbowl, a powerhouse rock group who also had a strong presence for the better part of a decade. For many years Fishbowl and Level Ride were showmates and good friends. When everyone found themselves looking to start a new project it just fit that these four would team up to create a sound that was new to all of them. After forming Forgetful Jones in the early summer of 2005, F. Jones took the stage for their first show after only two rehersals at the Sea Note in Hull, MA. The response was astounding. After this spark, the word started to spread and set the tone for many high-energy shows, which have continued to this day.
